ICS	International Chamber of Shipping
IMO	International Maritime Organization - is the United Nations Specialized Agency with responsibility for the safety and security of shipping and the prevention of marine pollution by ships. It has 163 Member States, including all 15 members of the European Union, and three Associate Members. Mr Mitropoulos took up the position of Secretary-General at the beginning of 2004.
INTERTANKO	International Association of Independent Tanker Owners
ISPS	The International Ship and Port Facility Security Code. It entered into force on 1st July 2004.
MPEC	Marine Environment Protection Committee of IMO
